Over 40 top-shelf tequilas, mezcals and sotols will be on-hand at the 3rd Annual AgaveFest, a celebration of all things tequila, held at Club Congress on Cinco de Mayo, from 6-9 p.m. The event is coordinated by Certified Spirits Specialist Aaron DeFeo of Hotel Congress, who will be on hand to help guide guests through their tasting–along with other tequila company representatives.
The popular event will feature tequila tastings, deals on food and live music by Salvador Duran.
It will also feature the 2nd Annual Agave Iron BarChef Competition, in which some of Tucson’s best bar chefs square-off in a competition for bragging rights and top-of-the-line bar tools.
And, for the first-time at the event, we’ll also have bacanora for tasting: an agave-derived liquor made in Sonora that was illegal to distill until 1992.
Come out and learn more about tequila’s production and history this Cinco de Mayo, and then sample different varieties to find your favorite!
$25 will get you up to 12 different tastes of tequila. Tequila punch and house-made tequila infusions will also be available.
We will also have great deals on authentic street tacos and 10 percent off of all food in the Cup Café with an event wristband
