Camp Wildcat Benefit Concert
Thursday, January 28th 6:00PM
Camp Wildcat is a student-run, non-profit organization at the University of Arizona devoted to improving the lives of Tucson’s financially, mentally, and physically disadvantaged youth. Over 100 dedicated volunteers work each year to facilitate cost-free activities for fun, friendship, and to portray college as an attainable goal for everyone.
This amazing organization will host a benefit concert in order to support the organization and their cause featuring three amazing artists: Jakob Martin, Overcast Off, and Anthony Schaan.
Jakob Martin’s acoustic folk rock paired with his incredible, narrative lyrics have gained him the title of a “concert poet.” His music features his warm, welcoming voice, and a quietly dramatic narrative style. He then takes little stories of his and marries them to some quite lovely melodies accompanying himself on guitar for a package that’s pretty hard to resist.
Overcast Off is a Tucson-native, indie rock band that describes their music as “electric folk music that doesn’t sound like folk music.” Whatever it is, we love it! With their strong guitar rifts and toe-tapping beats, you can’t help but to sing along.
Hailing from West of Phoenix, Anthony plays a multitude of styles, though they can all be surmised as alternative. Whether angry, sad, or in love, Anthony projects the mood of each song on the audience.
Doors open at 6pm
Showtime: 6:30 pm
