Caveman was born in New York in January of 2010, when a group of friends decided it was time to put aside their boyhood ways and start being men. The sound they crafted in that large, dark room is equal parts chamber pop, dreamscape, and horror film score. At a Caveman show you will hear four-part harmonies, spaced-out guitars, synths, and, yes, much drumming. This has been a gallant year for the band, as since their first birthday they have shared the stage with bands such as Edward Sharpe & the Magnetic Zeroes, White Rabbits, Here We Go Magic, Cursive, Amazing Baby, and Blue Oyster Cult. They recently went into the Loveboat studio with Nick Stumpf (French Kicks) to commit their songs to record.

Daniel Hindman and Sarah Versprille began writing songs together in 2009 while living in Brooklyn, NY. In 2011, the duo packed up their lives, moved to Portland, OR and realized that it was time to put a name to the batch of songs they’d been working on — Pure Bathing Culture was born. Through various serendipitous connections, multi-instrumentalist and producer Richard Swift (Secretly Canadian) heard their early demos and immediately invited them to record with him at his National Freedom Studio in Cottage Grove, OR. The fruits of this recording session comprise their self-titled EP, an elegant collection of four beautiful songs, constructed with smooth melodies embodying the nostalgia of soft soulful 80s pop but with a freshness all of their own.

Iamwe has been on earth for about 2.5 years.

During this time the collective synergy of their five minds has brought them to places no one really expected them to go.

Their debut album, Run Wild, has been described as a “cohesive, glammed out, space rock extravaganza” And was named one of Phoenix’s Top 10 records of 2012 by Phoenix New Times (Caldwell).

In their short history they have been lucky enough to share the stage with great national acts as well as with the best local bands Phoenix has to offer. Winning a global “battle of the bands” gave them a slot at the “Hard Rock Calling” festival in London, England in June of 2011. More recently, they
toured the East Coast with Anberlin and Morning Parade.

Their most recognizable song to date, “So They Say” has won over the local scene with its infectious percussion and tribal vocals. Their hypnotizing live performance mixed with their haunting lyrics is sure to make a fan out of any music lover.
