Thanks to behind-the-scene wrangling by new label Tucson Music Factory, 2013 is looking like the biggest year ever for our local scene at the South By Southwest music festival in Austin, Texas. Check out the list of acts officially invited to perform the biggest music festival in the world : Andrew Collberg, Sergio Mendoza Y La Orkesta, Marianne Dissard, Tesoro, Giant Giant Sand and Gabriel Sullivan & The Taraf de Tucson! With very special guests Spain from Los Angeles, three of these bands will throw a fundraising show at Club Congress on March 9th at 7:00pm. Presented by Tuson Weekly, KXCI 91.3fm and Tucson Music Factory. Come show your support!

Our own French diva is releasing her third studio album, “The Cat. Not Me”, a fierce and melancholy album written with Sergio Mendoza who joins the ranks of previous composers Joey Burns, Naïm Amor and Italian maestro Christian Ravaglioli. Since the release of “L’Entredeux” in 2008 followed in 2010 by “L’Abandon”, Marianne has toured four continents backed by a rotating cast that includes Brian Lopez, Sergio Mendoza, Andrew Collberg, Gabriel Sullivan, Naïm Amor, Connor Gallaher and Clay Koweek. Starting 2013, Marianne will be performing with producer/musician Budo (Rhymesayers, Grieves)
