WATCH / LISTEN

BRAINSTORM is an experimental-pop group from Portland, Oregon whose songs shine with inescapable melodies, polyrhythmic singing, thunderous drumming, and shimmering guitar lines. With influences ranging from African highlife to soulful AM-radio nostalgia, the result is a musical experience that is energetic, eclectic, and undeniably engaging.

BRAINSTORM has been touring the country for 3 years, attracting attention from such outlets as MTV, NPR, NYLON Magazine and the Get Off the Coast blog. The band delivers a truly impressive live performance: guitar, drums, tuba, keyboard, and three-part harmonies are sewn masterfully together into a compelling brand of art-pop that BRAINSTORM can truly call its own.

For the last several years Voodoo Organist has crafted and refined his unique yet instantly recognizable sound on the road, touring full time first as a one-man band and then, with the addition of drummer Robin Kennon (The Necro Tonz), as a two-man army of darkness. Even though just a two-piece, they have the sound and intensity of a full band. The Voodoo Organist has played over 500 shows from coast to coast.
