($20-30 + DICE Fees | 6:30pm & 8:30pm Shows | 16+) Hometown hero Kevin Ravellette returns to Tucson this summer from his studies at Texas State University to lead a night dedicated to one of his biggest influences on the saxophone, Donny McCaslin! Donny himself has graced the Century Room stage on two occasions playing new material, but this show will focus on Donny’s music from the 2010 album “Perpetual Motion”, which in part inspired David Bowie’s “Black Star”. “Perpetual Motion” delves into angular post-bop, blistering polyphonic funk, backbeat-driven R&B, and delicate, ethereal balladry. Come find out why Paul always says “if its good enough for Bowie its good enough for you!”
