1. Hotel Congress Reopening Safety Precautions

    In planning the reopen of Hotel Congress the most important factor has been and will continue to be making sure that we do it in the safest and most considerate way possible. We have spent the past three months planning and strategizing to create the most comprehensive safety plan. Below are the highlights of what we are doing to keep our staff and the community safe in each department:


    Cup Cafe

    Cleaning & Sanitizing

    • Pima County Ready For You certified
    • All staff Serv Safe certified
    • Surfaces sanitized between seatings
    • Common areas deep cleaned throughout each day
    • Digital, disposable, or sanitized menu provided
    • NEW Merv-14 filtration system inside Cup Cafe

    Social Distancing

    • Limited number of seated diners
    • Expanded outdoor seating
    • Distancing maintained in common areas
    • Extra space between tables
    • Sick staff prohibited in the workplace

    Personal Protective Equipment

    • Waitstaff wear masks
    • Diners must wear masks unless eating or drinking

    Hotel

    Cleaning & Sanitizing

    • EPA approved cleaning products & protocols
    • Each room has a ductless mini-split air conditioning system – no shared air between rooms!
    • Each room is UVC sanitized after every stay
    • Increased frequency of routine sanitation in all common areas and high-frequency touch areas
    • Individual hand sanitizer and mask provided in each room for guest use
    • Room stays vacant for 24 hours after each checkout
    • Hand sanitation stations throughout the hotel
    • Professionally cleaned linens and bedding
    • Temperature checks upon check-in
    • Daily health assessment conducted prior to clocking in for all staff

    Social Distancing

    • Limited capacity for all common areas including the hotel lobby
    • Floor markings in the lobby to distance guests
    • Plexiglass fixture at the front desk for safe interactions between guests and staff
    • Sick staff prohibited in the workplace

    Personal Protective Equipment

    • Front desk staff required to wear masks
    • Housekeeping staff required to wear masks and gloves
    • Guests required to wear masks when in common areas
    • Diners must wear masks unless eating or drinking

    • 125 capacity maintained for the Hotel Congress plaza
    • Continued closure for Club Congress
    • Seating required during visit – no dancing

    • 6 feet spacing between tables
    • Expanded outdoor seating

    Personal Protective Equipment

    • All staff required to wear masks throughout their shift
    • Masks required when not eating or drinking
