**Chuck Redd**

Chuck Redd, an internationally acclaimed drummer and vibraphonist, kicked off his global musical journey with the Charlie Byrd Trio at the age of 21. With a noteworthy career spanning 25 European tours and six tours of Japan alongside jazz luminaries like Barney Kessel and Mel Torme, Chuck’s rhythmic mastery is underscored by his roles as the 2019 musical director of The Oregon Festival of American Music and a featured soloist at prominent jazz festivals.

Notable for his vibraphone work, Chuck’s accolades include being named “Best Vibist” in New York City’s Hot House Jazz Magazine for two consecutive years. His performances, described as “exquisite” by Jazz Times, have graced iconic venues like Carnegie Hall and The White House. Chuck’s rhythmic journey extends to educational realms, as he shares his passion at The University of Maryland School of Music, offering master classes and workshops nationwide.
