For over a century, the Hotel Congress has stood at the heart of Tucson, a living witness to the city’s history—and to those who refuse to leave it behind. Built in 1919, the hotel was designed for travelers stepping off the Southern Pacific line, with guest rooms, a café, a beauty shop, a barber, and the now-famous Tap Room bar. Yet beneath the grandeur of its architecture lies something far older: the land itself has been continuously inhabited for thousands of years, making Tucson one of North America’s oldest, and most haunted, living communities.

On this 30-minute walking tour, you’ll be let in on the hotel’s best-kept secrets. Meet the lace-shrouded lady of the staircase, drifting through the lobby trailing the faint scent of roses; the Victorian Gentleman in Room 214, quietly surveying the plaza in seersucker and top hat; the Locksmith’s Apprentice, tinkering at unseen locks; Vince, the butter-knife handyman, still tending to his work decades after his passing; and the Lady in White, whose presence has startled more than a few male guests. You’ll even hear the story of infamous bank robber John Dillinger, who passed through Hotel Congress in 1934 before a fire exposed his gang’s presence and led to his capture—without a single shot fired.

The tour wraps up in the rarely seen séance room, a space of quiet reflection, lingering echoes, and centuries of footsteps—perfect for anyone curious enough to step just a little closer to the unexplained. It’s more than a ghost tour; it’s a backstage pass to a living portrait of Hotel Congress, where history, humanity, and spirits mingle in plain sight.

Please note: the elevator was destroyed in the famous 1934 fire—guests must climb one flight of stairs to reach the haunted rooms.

JOSEPH ARTHUR is an American singer/ songwriter who is also recognized for his qualities as a painter. He paints live on stage creating loops with his guitar and voice (a technique he pioneered in the 90’s and has since been widely adopted) Spotted by Lou Reed and Peter Gabriel, in 1996, the artist now has fifteen albums and several EPs to his credit. He’s also at the origin of several bands: The Lonely Astronauts, Fistful Mercy which he founded with Ben Harper and Dhani Harrison, RNDM with Jeff Ament of Pearl Jam, Arthur Buck with Peter Buck and most recently Silverlites with Rich Robinson, Peter Buck and Barrett Martin.

Joseph has enjoyed much success in the past on triple A radio with songs like Honey And The Moon (also featured in the OC and American Pie) And His song “In the Sun” which was covered by singer Michael Stipe of R.E.M and Chris Martin of Coldplay, as well as by Peter Gabriel and was featured in the movie ‘Saved’. Joseph Arthur on stage defies simple description who with his guitar, pedals, drum pads, keyboards and mics, builds live productions of swirling compositions which gives stripped-down pieces a kind of improvised orchestration that is unlike anyone else. Joseph Arthur draws his inspiration from a wide range of artists ranging from Leonard Cohen, Bob Dylan, Lou Reed, Nick Drake to Nirvana, the clash and early hip hop. The finesse of the compositions and the richness of the orchestrations make Joseph Arthur one of the best American songwriters of the XXI century.

His new album with Peter Buck called Arthur Buck 2 is coming out October 2025 And his new solo album will be released early in 2026, the first single ‘Rise’ is a return to themagical strength of the strongest work of his past. Written the day Neil Peart (RUSH) died, it’s an uplifting homage to living a life of inspiration and celebration of the potential of all of our dreams.

Chris Cohen’s songs initially sound easy. They’re each tiny jewels that unfurl at a leisurely pace, but dig a little deeper and you’ll reach a melancholy core. His previous albums — 2012’s Overgrown Path, 2016’s As If Apart and 2019’s Self Titled — were built from lush, blurry tracks that embedded themselves in your subconscious, like they’d always been there.

Paint a Room (out July 12, 2024) is his first album in five years and his debut for Hardly Art. If Cohen’s meanings have previously lurked inside the tessellated musical layers he built alone, they are newly clear and resonant here, animated and underscored for the first time by a band playing in real time. This is Cohen communicating with friends not only through his deep understanding of groove, harmony, and hook but also with his listeners through songs that croon of our uneasy little era.

Chris was a member of Deerhoof, The Curtains, Cryptacize and Natural Dreamers before releasing music under his own name. Although their debut LP, Long Cold Night Walk was released in 2020, it wouldn’t be until half a decade later that Victor Jones exploded onto the New York City dancepunk scene with their 2025 concept album, Zookeeper. Songs like White Fang Safari, We Go to Russia and the non-album single Shoulder Song, explore Victor’s struggles with bipolar disorder through the duality of their commanding vocal – alternating between absurdist lyricism and unguarded sincerity – and their theatrically anthemic production yielding moments of intimate emotional vulnerability.

Victor’s follow-up single, Mother Teresa, expanded on these themes, amassing millions of views on TikTok and culminating in sold out shows in Boston and New York City.

Their newest song, I Get Hurt, sees Victor lean into their production prowess, singing about metropolitan anxiety over pulsating synthesizers and roaring drum fills.

Jonathon Linaberry looks back on Radio Waves, his sixth album as The Bones Of J.R. Jones, but there’s more than just nostalgia at play. Recorded with producer Robbie Lackritz (Feist, Bahamas), the collection is moody and hypnotic, drawing on the sonic landscape of Linaberry’s youth as it reckons with the doubt and uncertainty of adulthood. Born in central New York, Linaberry got his start playing in punk bands before becoming enamored with the field recordings of Alan Lomax. He launched The Bones of J.R. Jones in 2012 and began releasing a series of albums and EPs that would land his songs in films and TV shows like True Detective, Suits, and Daredevil, and lead to countless tours across the US and Europe, including stops everywhere from Telluride Blues to Hardly Strictly Bluegrass. Along the way, Linaberry would also share bills with the likes of The Wallflowers, G. Love, and The Devil Makes Three, soundtrack an Amazon commercial helmed by Oscar-winning director Taika Waititi, and earn praise from Billboard, American Songwriter, Under the Radar, and more.

Canadian quartet Holy Fuck have always been happy to plow a distinctly lone furrow. West Texas based multi-instrumentalist, singer, and songwriter Solya made her debut in February 2023 at the age of 16 with her 3-track EP “Fever Dream” which was produced entirely from her bedroom. She quickly gained a massive social media following with fans who connected to the dark, ethereal world of her music that blends elements of psychedelic and grunge rock, indie pop, and electronic music. In 2024, Solya released her “Jewel Box” EP, which includes the viral track “We Say Goodbye.” Solya began releasing her first studio recordings in 2025.

Following her feature on Baby Bugs’ song “Baby, Baby”, Solya and Baby Bugs co-headlined the 21 date U.S. “Bugs and Butterflies Tour” in the fall of 2024, selling out most venues such as the Mercury Lounge in NYC, House of Blues (Voodoo Room) in San Diego, Rebel Lounge in Phoenix, and The Masquerade (Purgatory) in Atlanta. The tour extended to include four sold-out U.K. dates in March of 2025. In September of 2025, Solya headlined the 3 date “Out West Tour,“ which included a sold-out show at the historic Troubadour in West Hollywood.
