Grammy nominated, Jack Walrath’s talents have been utilized by Charles Mingus, Charles Mingus Big Band, Mingus Dynasty, Charles Mingus Orchestra, Ray Charles, Muhal Richard Abrams, Mike Longo, Ricky Ford, Sam Rivers, Joe Morello, Charli Persip, Miles Davis, Quincy Jones, Bill Moring, Frank Lowe, Ray Anderson, Craig Harris, Pete LaRoca, Mike Longo, Elvis Costello, Motown, Larry Willis, George Gruntz, Paul Jeffrey, Gunther Schuller, Hal Galper, the Monk Tentet, David “Fathead” Newman, Bobby Watson, Mike Clark, et al. He has appeared in films, TV and Radio both as a sideman and leader since 1965. He has released and/or appeared on 30+ record albums as a leader.
