Sarah Tolar: “Something Sarah” Desert Vinyl Album Release
($20-$30 tickets | 7pm & 9pm shows) Tucson Recording Label Desert Vinyl is excited to release the new album ***“Something Sarah”*** on Friday, September 13th. A collaboration between Desert Vinyl owner Bob Lambert and singer-songwriter/jazz artist Sarah Tolar, “Something Sarah” was recorded in Tucson and San Francisco and features musicians from Tucson, Bay Area and New York City. The new album includes jazz standards, compositions by Tolar, and and popular songs.

***Sarah Tolar is an award-winning singer-songwriter and jazz artist who relocated to Tucson from New York City during the pandemic. Tolar independently released two full-length records of original music, won Downbeat Music’s Best Female College Jazz Vocalist, and earned a Masters and Bachelors of Jazz Studies from University of North Texas. Tolar has performed with her band for numerous private events around the United States and had the pleasure of working with such iconic talent as James Taylor and Billy Joel. Tolar has sung backup vocals for stadium tours and performed on The Late Show with David Letterman and with electro-funk duo Chromeo. Her new record, “Something Sarah” is a collaboration with Desert Vinyl owner Bob Lambert who met Sarah in Spring of 2022 in Tucson and proposed making a record together.***
