Tucson Folk Fest Presents: Songwriter Roundtable
($10-$15 tickets | 3:30pm doors | 4:00pm show) The Tucson Folk Festival presents January’s “Songwriter Roundtable Sunday Matinee”, hosted by Eric Schaffer. Eric’s guests this month are Ryan David Green and Nancy McCallion.
**Ryan David Green**
A graduate of Boston’s prestigious Berklee College of Music, Ryan David Green has performed on four continents, been profiled in Acoustic Guitar Magazine, and twice been named “Best Guitarist” in the Tucson Music Awards (where he currently resides). His original compositions have received numerous film and TV placements, including shows on E!, Lifetime, and ABC Family/Freeform.
**Nancy McCallion**
Nancy McCallion is best known as the songwriter and vocalist for original Celtic-Norteno-folk-rock cult band The Mollys. McCallion teamed up with high school music partner Catherine Zavala to form The Mollys in 1989, racking up seven indie releases and countless rave-review shows in the U.S., Canada, Europe, Australia and New Zealand before the group disbanded in 2003. **Eric Schaffer**
Raised in the swamps of New Jersey, Eric Schaffer is a long-time Southern Arizona favorite. singer/songwriters. He was the winner of the 2022 Tumbleweed Music Festival songwriting contest and has performed throughout the US both solo and with his band The Other Troublemakers. Eric has opened shows for Clint Black, Blackberry Smoke, Marc Cohn, Lonestar and Radney Foster.
