Know What I Mean? The Young Lions Play Cannonball & Bill Evans

($20-$30 Tickets + DICE fees | 6:30pm & 8:30pm Shows) The next vanguard of jazz musicians come together for an all-star performance of the Cannonball Adderley/Bill Evans classic album “Know What I Mean?” from 1962. Both Adderley and Evans were alumni of the Miles Davis Quintet , appearing on 1959’s “Kind of Blue.” This album represents the confluence of two major jazz movements: Adderley’s soulful, blues-infused hard bop and Evans’ introspective and sophisticated modal harmony. The importance of their collaboration lies in how it bridges styles without compromise, showing that swing, soul, and subtlety can coexist.

Alto sax superstar Autumn Dominguez is joined by piano phenom Denali Hershey Kauffman and the solidly swinging rhythm duo of Kenji Lancaster and Colin McIlrath.
