Sophia Rankin & the Sound / Remi Goode

Sophia Rankin & The Sound is an acclaimed alternative folk rock band originating from Tucson, Arizona. Tucson native Sophia Rankin is a diverse singer/songwriter with original songs winning first place awards at both the 2017 Tucson Desert Song Festival and the 2018 Stefan George Songwriting competition. With frontwoman Sophia Rankin having performed around Tucson since 2015, the band (Connor Rankin on drums, Noah Weig-Pickering on lead guitar, and Eli Leki-Albano on bass and vocals) has spent the last two years together writing, recording, and performing their own original music. Between opening for national and local acts, making their debut international performance at Circus Mexicus 2022, and headlining their own shows at venues such as Hotel Congress and 191 Toole, they have also performed at staple local events such as Dusk Music Festival and Tucson Folk Festival. Their unique blend of folk, pop, Americana, and rock music reveals introspective songwriting that resonates with listeners of all ages. Their original music is available on all listening platforms and services.

Remi Goode is a trained classical guitarist and choral singer turned alternative folk/pop singer-songwriter. Singing and playing 80’s folk music since the age of eight, the 22-year-old artist has an old soul and a tendency to keep it simple. Remi embraces the diversity of her influences while asserting her originality, writing with honesty and introspection. Her range of interests has led her to pursue concurrent degrees in music and art history at Arizona State University, where she studies with pioneering guitarist, JIJI, and works in the conservation lab at the ASU Art Museum.
Remi released her debut EP, Muziek, at age 16. She is currently recording her first full-length album, which represents the independent artist she has become. Don’t Drive Me Home is expected Spring 2023. Remi greatly values musical collaboration, recording and performing frequently with her five-piece band (formerly called Brake for Snakes), a tight-knit group based in Tempe, Arizona.
