Tucson Modern Jazz Quartet | Eight Myths Album Release

($20-$30 Tickets + DICE fees | 6:30pm & 8:30pm Shows) oin the Tucson Modern Jazz Quartet for the release of their debut album, 8 Myths—a genre-bending exploration of modern jazz, mythology, and groove.

Blending original compositions with forward-looking interpretations, the Tucson Modern Jazz Quartet pushes the boundaries of the jazz tradition with deep grooves, lush harmonies, and fearless improvisation. The group features the dynamic interplay of Keaton Wilson (keys/synth), Zach White (drums), Patrick Morris (bass), and Trey Bryant (saxophone).

Recorded at St. Cecilia Studios in Tucson, 8 Myths is a vivid journey through eight evocative tracks—each one a sonic take on a different kind of myth, from folkloric funk (“Sasquatch”) to surreal electronic lo-fi soundscapes (“A Goddess Technicolor”) to third-stream montunos (“Messiaen Around”). The album features original compositions by Wilson, Morris, and Bryant, and melds modern jazz with elements of funk, fusion, and electronic sound design.
