Art in the Lobby: Alyssa Burr
Join us Saturday, September 9th from 6-8pm in welcoming Alyssa Burr and her artwork in the Hotel Congress Lobby!
Alyssa was born in Mexico City and traveled worldwide before attending high school in Washington, D.C. Her great-grandfather, William Wilke, was a famous etcher and silversmith in San Francisco. Since 1984, Alyssa has been painting Arizona landscapes and Tucson architecture along with a series of portraits of Tucson residents. Her work is classic and sometimes allegorical with emphasis on color and beauty. She also writes, sews, draws cartoons, and makes collages.
