Monday House Party

w/ DJ Sid the Kid (10pm-2am, FREE, 21+)

Retrolution, the longest running dance night in the history of Tucson featuring all your favorite hits of the 80’s, is finally being dragged, kicking in screaming, into the 90’s. We hope to ease the way with $0.80 wells – 9pm-10pm, $0.90 wells – 10pm-11pm, $2 wells (until 1am), $3 Beer and a Shot “Special” (PBR can/well shot), and a little Jazzy Jeff & Nirvana. Don’t Worry, DJ Sid the Kid will throw in the occasional New Order or Prince hit to help smooth the transition. LET’S PARTY LIKE IT’S 1999.

HOCO Fest Day 3

w/ The Dusty Chaps, John Coinman (Doors 6pm, Plaza $15/Club FREE, 21+)

HOCO Fest Day 3 was specifically tailored to showcase the best of Tucson musical past and future with two great—if not completely different—showcases. On the plaza, we have The Dusty Chaps, a seminal honky tonk country swing band based in Tucson, Arizona in the 1970s & early 80s. Maybe only Linda Ronstadt eclipses the Dusty Chaps as far as enduring popularity in the Old Pueblo. In the club we have an evening curated by Lando Chill, Tucson’s newest darling and recent signee to indie-rap giant, Mello Music Group. Lando’s last live band performance at Club Congress was legendary; arguably the best-attended release show in HOCO history.
