Armen Donelian Quintet: The Wayfarer

($20-$30 tickets | 7pm & 9pm sets) Pianist Armen Donelian returns to the Century Room for a second night, this time presenting his original music with a unique quintet featuring two tenor saxophones. Armen has always been an encouraging mentor to young musicians, given drummer Bill Stewart his first professional recording date in 1988 while Stewart was still in college. For this show, Donelian taps young lions Kevin Ravellette and Colin McIlrath to join him along seasoned pros Brice Winston and Arthur Vint. They’ll be playing music from his albums Secrets and The Wayfarer
