Hailing from Tucson, Arizona, the Borderlands Ensemble was formed in 2017 to disrupt classical music traditions by presenting concerts that are relevant and engaging to all people. The group is comprised of French horn, string quartet, and guitar, and has explored non-traditional concert formats and venues, working with a variety of collaborative partners. Their unique and impactful performances aim to reflect the culture of the borderlands, featuring music by Mexican and American composers.
