**Heather Hardy**

Heather “Lil’ Mama” Hardy, a versatile musician, embarked on her musical journey studying piano and violin from a young age. Choosing the path of the violin, she explored improvisation in the New York subway, collaborating with blues and rock musicians. Joining the internationally renowned punk band The False Prophets in 1984 marked a pivotal moment in her career. Heather’s musical endeavors extended to performing for Allen Ginsberg and contributing to various New York bands. Relocating to Tucson in 1990, she joined the Sam Taylor Band, earning acclaim for her ambient violin and soulful blues solos. Awards, such as winning the Arizona Blues Showdown in 1995, followed, leading to international recognition. In 1996, Heather formed her Lil’ Mama Band and was inducted into the Arizona Blues Hall of Fame in 2000. With a repertoire of over 200 albums, she is a prominent figure in the music scene. Her commitment to prison outreach projects with the Amity Foundation reflects her passion for bringing music to therapeutic communities. Heather continues to tour globally and has released five albums of original songs.
