Celebrating the 40th anniversary of Linda Ronstadt’s landmark 1983 album “What’s New,” which was made with legendary composer, arranger and conductor Nelson Riddle. Despite the urging of her management and record label, Ronstadt insisted upon recording this album of jazz standards that has since become a classic and led to two more collaborations with Riddle, “Lush Life,” and “For Sentimental Reasons.” This concert will feature vocalist Katherine Byrnes accompanied by music director Jeff Haskell fronting a jazz quartet plus a string quartet performing Riddle’s lush arrangements.
