Band starts at 7pm, followed by a trad jazz jam session. Saxophonist Sergio Tabanico returns home from New York City to play Late Night in The Century Room.

Sergio Tabanico is a tenor saxophonist based in New York City. Originally from Tucson, Arizona, Tabanico came to New York in 2015 to study at The New School for Jazz and Contemporary Music graduating with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in 2019. Currently he is currently attending the Juilliard School, where he will earn his masters in 2023. Tabanico now performs in New York leading his own group, and as a sideman in others’. Most recently, he’s recorded Drugdealer’s (Michael Collins) forthcoming album Hiding In Plain Sight, on L.A. record label Mexican Summer. He’s worked extensively with vibraphonist Joel Ross, including performances and co-composing music for his album Parable Of The Poet Tabanico is currently performing throughout New York City with his own music working road working material that will culminate in an album. Tabanico has also shared the stage with Adam O’Farrill, Immanuel Wilkins, Maria Grand, Matt Wilson and Samora Pinderhughes, Helado Negro, June McDoon, and Nick Hakim.
