**Running From Bears**

Founded in 2009, Running From Bears has been at the forefront of the Phoenix creative music scene playing original improvised jazz music. With a unique three (3) saxophone front-line, this ensemble features music drawn from a wide range of influences – jazz, 90s alternative, hip hop,avant-garde, and rock-n-roll. As long-time regulars in the downtown scene (13-year residency at The Lost Leaf), Running From Bears continues to make new and interesting music into their second decade of existence. The band has two records, Running From Bears (2013) and Maul of America (Edgetone Records 2017). They are recording their third record in May 2023.
