($20-$30 + DICE fees | 6:30pm show) Sweet Megg is a genre-blending vocalist and songwriter, weaving jazz, country, and blues into a sound that’s both timeless and fresh. Originally from NYC and now based in Nashville, she’s traveled the world, honing her craft everywhere from Parisian jazz clubs to Southern honky-tonks.
Her upcoming album, “Never Been Home” showcases her signature mix of vintage influences and modern edge. Produced by Mose Wilson & Dennis Crouch and recorded at The Bomb Shelter in Nashville, the album captures Megg’s restless spirit and musical evolution. After years touring with Postmodern Jukebox and leading a Cirque du Soleil country project, she’s back, ready to share her most personal work yet.
“Sweet Megg’ refreshes these time-honored songs rather than clones the originals; her agility with modern swing feels gives her vocals a decidedly individualistic flair.” – Suzanne Lorge, Downbeat Magazine

($20-$30 + DICE fees | 6:30pm show) “I was born in 1900,” begins Louis Armstrong’s autobiography. “Mayann told me that the night I was born was the fourth of July, a big holiday in New Orleans, when almost anything can happen.” Even though it was later confirmed that he was in fact born August 4, 1901, Louis claimed an Independence Day birth his entire life and according to New Orleans mayor Victor Schiro, it was fitting because Armstrong is “one of Uncle Sam’s most unique, significant and successful ambassadors.”
Come celebrate Louis Armstrong’s “birthday” with the Century Room family featuring a trio of trumpeters Louis Armstrong, Max Goldschmid and Anthony Gibes! They’ll be perforoming a retrospective of Amrstrong’s long and influential career from his first recordings with King Oliver through his finals years in Corona, Queens.
ONE SHOW ONLY on July 4th so everyone can go watch the fireworks at 9pm!

($20-$30 Tickets + DICE fees | 6:30pm & 8:30pm Shows) Get ready for a deep dive into the soulful, groove-heavy sounds of 1970s jazz fusion as organist Chris Peña leads a special performance of “Benson Burner”, the 1976 collaboration between guitar legend George Benson and the incomparable Dr. Lonnie Smith. This electrifying tribute will capture the funky swing, blistering solos, and rich textures that defined the golden era of soul jazz, with Peña channeling Dr. Smith’s signature Hammond B3 fire and finesse.
Joining Peña is a powerhouse ensemble featuring Matt Mitchell on guitar, Josh Carruthers on drums and Max Goldschmid on bari and tenor saxophone, whose fiery tone and improvisational daring will bring the spirit of the original sessions to life. With a tight rhythm section locked into vintage grooves, this concert promises a night of infectious energy, deep cuts, and virtuosic interplay.

Born and raised in Hofit, Israel, Dan started to show interest in music at the age of 12, when he picked up the electric bass. By the age of 16 Dan started to play professionally around Israel in various clubs and music venues. He also became a regular performer on national television, radio, and appeared in numerous jazz festivals, including the Red sea jazz festival in Eilat, the Caesarea jazz festival, and the Tel Aviv jazz festival to name a few.
Since moving to New-York City in late 2016, Dan have played with respected musicians such as Jimmy Cobb, Grant Stewart, Michael Kanan, Tardo Hammer, Joe Magnarelli, Frank Basile, John Webber, Chris Flory, Greg Ruggiero, and Zaid Nasser, with whom he plays on a regular basis.
His NYC-based trio draws inspiration from both the past and present, clearly influenced by the legends of the 1940s-1960s, such as Tadd Dameron, Joe Henderson, Benny Golson, Miles Davis, Thelonious Monk, Bud Powell, Ahmad Jamal, Bobby Timmons, and Art Blakey and the Jazz Messengers, among others. At the same time, they are inspired by contemporary greats like Tardo Hammer, Joe Farnsworth’s Time to Swing, the 11th St. Bar Quintet, Grant Stewart, Michael Kanan, and more. Rather than limiting their sound to terms like “Hard-Bop,” “Be-Bop,” or “Modern Jazz,” the band’s music blends these styles with the Great American Songbook and classical influences. The result is a sound characterized by a strong swing feel, lyrical melodies, simple yet sophisticated harmonies, and dynamic communication between musicians.
